The wine cellar is close to the vines in Quinta de Paços, in Rio Côvo, Sta Eulália, Barcelos, Portugal. The grapes are hand harvested, destemmed, and part of them are submitted to pellicular maceration. Both grape varieties are fermented separately and are blended in December with their original lees. After being decanted the must is fermented in stainless steel at low temperature with “batonnage” and lees staging for 5 months until bottling. After decanting, the must is fermented in stainless steel vats at low temperatures, leaving the wine on its fine lees with stirring (batonnage) until bottling preparation.

Vinho Verde DOC – Monção & Melgaço

Clear, light yellow citrus colour. Aroma and flavour of ripe fruit, pear, with some floral hints. Medium body and a soft and delicate flavour, with persistent aftertaste.

This wine made from two grape varieties, Loureiro and Arinto, comes from Quinta de Paços, in Barcelos.
