he grapes are hand harvested, destemmed, and part of them are submitted to pellicular maceration for five hours with temperature control. After being decanted the must is fermented in stainless steel at low temperature. The wine stays on top of the lees with “batonnage” until bottling. Vinho Verde DOC – Monção & Melgaço
Clear, light yellow citrus colour. Complex aromas of ripe tropical fruit, ripe pear. Mineral, fresh, round and long mouth, feeling the batonnage. Citric and fruity aromas. Balanced, elegant and complex.
This wine was also the first to blend these two grape varieties (Alvarinho and Loureiro) in the Minho/Vinho Verde region back in 1996.
